Roller Skate Fit Club

Sunday 3 January to Sunday 21 February Roller Skate Fit Club is an 8 week program that combines basic fitness and Roller Skating. We will teach you how to Roller Skate and get you fitter at the same time. Open to all skill and fitness levels. We will teach you how to skate through out the program. No experience in either fitness or roller skating is necessary. You'll have so much fun it won't even feel like exercise. Baskets, Bras and Brolgas Workshop with Deanne Gilson

Thursday 14 to Friday 15 January During this two day workshop, go on a tour of the Body of My Ancestors exhibition with local Indigenous artist Deanne Gilson, then learn how to create an ochre painting using traditional ochre techniques. On the second day, learn how to make a clay basket and bra, or other object, developing your own symbols to use on your artworks. Finish off the workshop with wine and cheese. Cost: $110.00. Sunday 21 February The 2016 Ballarat Cycle Classic provides all cyclist enthusiasts the opportunity to take part in an iconic community event along the much-vaunted Australian National Road Cycling course. Riders from all across Victoria, and even interstate, make a beeline for Lake Wendouree for the time-honoured event which sees all funds raised donated to the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. There is an event for all fitness levels and cycling abilities, there is a 50 kilometres, 60 kilometres, 85 kilometres and 100 kilometres event, all of which take-in varying degrees of the Nationals course including the infamous climbs surrounding Mount Buninyong.
