Voice FM was thrilled when Pete & Di along with Dr Frank Nolan expanded the regular “Book Review” segment after the 11am News on Monday Mornings “Community Voices” to include the Principal of Dana Street Primary School – Mr Paul Nolan and two of his students. Paul expanded on what education week means to Dana Street Primary School.
The opportunity came about when Dr Frank approached Paul about obtaining a copy of the “The Victorian School Readers”. Previously Dr Frank had read “The Hobyards”, a story from one of the famous “Reader” series. There had been such a good reaction that they decided to read some more of the stories, occasionally.
From the reaction to this mornings program it looks like many people are enjoying revisiting the popular series.
Voice FM is looking forward to working with Dana Street Primary School on the pilot “KOTA” project where the students will get a chance to not only learn about the structure of a radio program but also record some spots and segments for broadcast in an ongoing capacity.
