After many years of being spoilt by having Len Reid as our Classical presenter it was with great sadness that we accepted Len’s decision to retire his position due to macular degeneration.  Although we would have loved to arrange a panel operator so that he could stay on, Len chose to “pass the baton”.

Since moving the Classical mix to Friday afternoon to work in with our Italian presenter’s preference for Sunday afternoon, we have been delighted with the community response.  Your calls have been appreciated and we agree, there is nothing better than catching up with paperwork at the station on a Friday afternoon with a great music mix in the background.

Trudy Devries has enthusiastically taken on the task of preparing the program and we are thrilled that the another presenter can take up Len’s baton.

I present “Classical Music” on The Voice on Friday between 1 and 3 pm.  It is a great program with light as well as other classical music.  We have a great variaty of old as well as more up to date music opera as well as operetta and then all these new young artists.  We give them all a go and it is great fun. I love presenting it and look for new matirial all the time.  It is so relaxing.  So do join us and let me know what you think of it.  We always love hearing from our listeners.
