$1 from every download goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation
The National Breast Cancer Foundation is urging people to download the song “Lion Heart” by Tamara Stewart from iTunes to raise money to fund research to help achieve its goal of zero breast cancer deaths by 2030.
“Lion Heart”- co-written by Stewart with long time musical companion Rick Price – is a tribute to all those affected by breast cancer and is the final track on Tamara’s fourth album APPLE SEED.
“I’m proud to be an ambassador for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and wanted to write something to honour what they do as well as honour all the amazing breast cancer survivors and supporters I’ve been lucky enough to meet through our work together,” Tamara said. “This is a song about friendship and strength – no one better to write that sentiment with me than Rick – one of my dearest friends.”
On the track the award winning singer/songwriter is joined by fellow ambassadors The Australian Girls Choir and the results are both uplifting and emotional.
Carole Renouf, CEO of the National Breast Cancer Foundation hopes that Tamara’s single raises lots of money to fund even more research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer.
“With 38 Australians diagnosed each day and eight losing their battle, there is still much to do, we really appreciate Tamara and Rick writing this lovely song,” she said.
“Lion Heart” is available to buy on iTunes for $2.19 with $1 going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation – http://itunes.apple.com/au/album/lion-heart/id545227805?i=545228063
