The Victorian Government has opened the latest funding round of local sporting facility grants and State MP Sharon Knight is encouraging clubs to express their interest.
Ms Knight said local councils, including the City of Ballarat, are eligible to apply for major funding but that for the Minor Facilities grants and Soccer Facilities grants local clubs can express their interest.
“There is always room to improve local sporting facilities and grants of up to $100,000 are available for minor facility upgrades.”
“I’ve seen some terrific proposals from local clubs who want to upgrade their facilities, I hope they all consider applying for these grants.”
“Clubs wanting to put their hand up for funding to upgrade their facilities can complete an expression of interest form.”
“I’d encourage every club interested in this funding to discuss their project proposal with the City of Ballarat,” Ms Knight said.
As part of the Community Facility Funding Program grants are available for projects including building and upgrading swimming pools, sports pavilions, change rooms, sports lighting, shared trails and playspaces.
