Review: Joan Stienman
The listeners are probably already aware of Ripley’s Believe It or Not books and the 2017 edition is just as wild and wacky. This hard cover book is full of unbelievable stories, weirdest hobbies, craziest creations and the most unusual animals you could ever imagine. There are entertaining enterprises such as the 112 foot Lego tower that students from 32 school built using 420,000 Lego bricks. Another example of endeavour is the designer who used 8,000 Post-it notes to decorate the walls of his office with pixelated portraits of superheroes.
Another bizarre design feature is 1 170 foot stretch of rubber laid as a road laid through a forest trampoline to allow visitors to get from one place to another in a fun way.
These and many more stories portraying achievements and inspiration as well as the quirks of natures can be appreciated through this collection. With colour photos on every page, quiz questions and additional facts this book will provide many hours of enjoyment for a range of ages.
